Raft Tycoon Boat Tier List

Jetski is S until the second belt exists. Ice Breaker is a trophy, not a starter.

Boat Tier List

Boats in Raft Tycoon have three numbers on the spawn card: Speed, Handling, and Income. Races care about the first two. Parked Income is a trickle. This ranking weights cash per minute on the checkpoint track against how many droppers that cash could have bought. Prices are from the live boat menu and published recaps; trust the HUD if Flappy Bit retuned a digit. How to race is on boat races. Raw stats are on the boat catalog.

S tier

Jetski (free after dock). 75 knots, handling 6, owned as soon as the dock exists. Learns every track. Pays while you refuse to bankrupt the tycoon. Anyone selling you a $100k hull before Dropper 3 is arguing with this letter.

Small Sailboat ($50,000). First cash upgrade that is allowed after a second conveyor is down. Older recaps listed ~60 knots; buy it because laps feel better, not because the belt is hungry.

A tier

Bowrider ($100,000). Comfortable mid. Buy on a second-run rebirth when the multiplier makes $100k cheap.

Race Boat (Robux). If you already race constantly and the pass is on sale, A for time. If you still need Double Cash, it drops to C.

Golden Yacht (Robux, seen near 749). Flex plus speed, survives rebirth. A only if Robux would otherwise sit idle.

B tier

Motor Boat ($250,000). Fast enough to feel good, expensive enough to delay a conveyor. B on a rich raft, D on a starter.

Kayak / Submarine (Robux). Fun movement, not lap monsters. B as toys that persist after rebirth.

Rescue Boat ($25M). Late A/B. Speed is real. The price is a late-game filter.

C tier

Catamaran ($2.5M). Looks like a power spike, usually bought instead of plates. C until belts are done, then B.

Fishing Yacht ($40M). Late cash. C.

Titanic / Aircraft Carrier / AH-64 Helicopter / Sleigh (Robux). Screenshot machines. C for racing, A for “I already own Double Cash and I want a circus.” Helicopter is not a Tsunami skip; you still climb when the banner hits. Weather.

D tier

Any cash boat bought before the second conveyor. The hull is not D. The timing is.

Ice Breaker (late, older menus ~$125M, 100 knots, poor handling). Heavy, expensive, funny. D as a goal for the first weekend, B as a finished-raft toy.

Small Yacht (very late cash in some tables). Trophy. Same rule.

Handling versus speed

A 20-knot gap does not matter if you miss checkpoints. Jetski handling 6 is why it stays S. Ice Breaker recaps listed handling around 5 — that is how a “faster” boat loses to a Bowrider on a tight island wrap. Test one lap before you sell the previous hull in your head. You can own multiple; you only need to spawn one.

Parked Income (Jetski showed ~$315 on a capture, Sailboat $500, Bowrider $1,000, Rescue $10,000, Ice Breaker $1M, Small Yacht $5M in an older table) looks juicy on Ice Breaker. You still need the belt. Do not spawn a fleet and AFK in the lobby; servers and sharks still exist.

Rebirth and this list

Cash hulls reset. Robux hulls stay. After rebirth, you are on Jetski again until the dock is rebuilt. That is fine. The S-tier boat is still free. Rebuild using expand raft, then skip Sailboat if the multiplier already put you at Bowrider prices.

If a pass is off-sale (Flying Carpet, some seasonal hulls), it is unranked until it returns. Check updates when a winter sleigh reappears.

Quick buy rule

If the boat costs more than the next conveyor or Dropper 3, the boat loses. That single rule keeps this tier list honest when Flappy Bit adds another million-dollar yacht.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers players actually search for in Raft Tycoon.

What is the best boat in Raft Tycoon?

For most of the game, the free Jetski. After two belts, Small Sailboat or Bowrider. Robux yachts are flex.

Is Ice Breaker worth it?

As a late toy, yes. As a first purchase, no. Handling is heavier than the knot count suggests.

Do Robux boats reset on rebirth?

No. Cash boats do. Rebuild the dock and spawn the pass hull again.

Should I buy boats for parked income?

No. Parked Income is tiny next to a healthy conveyor. Race or stay on the belt.
