Raft Tycoon Boat Races

Boat races are Raft Tycoon’s downtime printer. Conveyors pay while you are on the water, so a two-minute lap is not stolen income if the belt is already built. They become a trap when someone buys a $250,000 Motor Boat before Dropper 3. This page is how to race, which hull to spawn, and when to stay on the deck. Stats and ranks sit in the boat catalog and the boat tier list.

Unlock the dock

You cannot race from the starter plank. Follow expand raft until the Boat Dock button appears, buy it, then open the boat menu. The Jetski shows as Owned. Speed on a live HUD capture: 75 knots, handling 6, a small passive income (around $315 on that menu). Press Spawn so the hull sits in the water beside the dock. Races use premade checkpoint tracks around the server water. Faster hulls cut lap time, which raises cash per minute, which is the only reason to spend tycoon money on a boat.

When to race versus when to stand on the belt

Race when:

• The collector is filling without you (droppers live, path clear).
• You just placed a pad and have 60 seconds of dead time.
• Winter 2x is not in the last two minutes (spend those on emptying the ATM).

Do not race when:

• Tsunami banner is up. Climb. Weather.
• The starter belt still has empty cheap Golden Upgrader sockets.
• You are about to afford a second conveyor. Belts beat laps.

Prices are from the live spawn menu and from published recaps. Flappy Bit can retune. Trust the HUD if it disagrees with this table.

Passive Income on the spawn card is extra while the boat exists. It will not replace a conveyor. Do not spawn five hulls thinking you built a fleet tycoon.

Robux hulls

Golden Yacht (shown around 749 Robux on a New tag), Race Boat, Titanic, Kayak, Submarine, Aircraft Carrier, AH-64 Helicopter, Sleigh — these are gamepasses. They survive rebirth. They do not survive a bad spend if you still needed Auto Collect more. Rank them on the tier list as convenience and flex, not as a first purchase.

Racing tips that are not cosmetics

• Spawn, then look at the track from the dock before the first full-send. Checkpoints are easier when you already know the turn after the island.
• If you dump in the water, open the menu and Spawn again. Do not swim.
• Handling numbers matter more than a 10-knot gap on tight tracks. A twitchy fast boat that hits rocks is slower than the Jetski you already own.
• Invite friends anyway. Their 10% bonus applies to race payouts and belt cash. Racing in a full server is also how you bump people; give space.
• After two laps, empty the collector. Races are a second job, not a replacement HUD.

Spend order with boats in it

1. Codes, Golden Upgraders, Dropper 3 — make money.
2. Dock + Jetski laps.
3. Second conveyor.
4. Small Sailboat if you actually like racing.
5. Rebirth, then buy cash hulls earlier on the next run because the multiplier shortens the wait.

If you hate racing, skip to step 3 and stay on the deck. The tycoon does not require a trophy Ice Breaker. It requires a belt that never starves.
