Raft Tycoon Getting Started

Claim the wooden pad, feed one conveyor, and ignore the Golden Yacht until the second belt exists.

Getting Started

Raft Tycoon drops you on a tiny wooden raft in the middle of a shark-patrolled ocean. The fantasy is a floating mansion. The first hour is a tycoon tutorial: claim the plot, buy a dropper, empty the cash collector, expand one plate at a time. This page is that first hour. When you finish it, move to how to play for the full loop and make money for the spend order.

Minute 0–3: claim and HUD

Join from the official Roblox experience. Server size is 10. If every pad is taken, hop servers. Step Claim Tycoon so the plot binds to your account. Auto-save is on; you will not lose a claimed pad by leaving.

The left HUD is the whole early game:

  • Cash counter with a plus button for Robux bundles.
  • Settings — codes, plus the redeem field covered in how to redeem.
  • Shop — gamepasses such as Auto Collect and Double Cash. Skip this until you understand belts.
  • Rebirth — greyed out until the first raft is complete. Do not mash it. Read rebirth first.

Weather sits at the top centre (Sunny, Tsunami warning, later storms). Friends / invite sits top-right and is worth tapping: each friend in the server is a 10% income bonus.

Minute 3–10: first income

Look for the starter conveyor. Food or junk items spawn at one end, ride the belt, and convert to cash at the collector. Your job is not to catch items by hand. Your job is to buy Dropper buttons that add more items, then Upgrader pads that raise the value of whatever already rolls past.

Early buttons you will actually see:

  • Dropper 2 around $150.
  • Dropper 3 around $500.
  • Golden Upgrader pads that can be $15 cash or a tiny Robux price.
  • Upgrader 2 around $500.

Buy the cheap Golden Upgrader before a third dropper if both are available. A $15 value pad multiplies every future dropper. That single idea is the whole dropper tier list.

Walk the cash collector (the ATM-like machine with a green cash pile). Belts can bank money there. If you stand on the belt and wonder why the HUD cash is frozen, you have not touched the collector.

Minute 10: codes, then plates

Open Settings and paste every active string from the codes hub. Shark (45,000) and Volcano (15,000) should buy expansion plates plus the next dropper, not a $100,000 Bowrider. Winter is a 10-minute 2x — start it after the collector is in your path so the window is real income.

Spend the new cash on Expand Raft plates. More floor is more buttons. Furniture, hot tubs, and railings wait. The expand raft guide lists the buildings that actually unlock systems: boat dock, mansion height, helipad.

Minute 20–40: dock and not drowning

When the dock button appears, buy it. You get a free Jetski. Races on premade water tracks pay cash while belts run. You do not need the Motor Boat yet. Race when the collector is full and you would otherwise stand still. Details: boat races.

Sharks patrol the water. Falling in is a fight, not a swim. Buy a cheap sword from the shop buttons when you see it, stay one plate in from the rim, and read sharks and weather before you build a decorative pier. If the top banner flips to Tsunami, sprint to the highest floor you own. A one-plate raft has no high floor — that is why mansion height is not cosmetic.

What to ignore on day one

  • Auto Build / Auto Collect in Shop until you have two belts. Auto Collect is 99 Robux of comfort, not a substitute for Dropper 3.
  • Golden Yacht (Robux boat). The boat catalog lists cash hulls that already beat the Jetski.
  • Spawn portal tourism. Visiting maxed rafts is inspiring and earns nothing. Five minutes max.
  • Scripts. If a GUI promises inf money, that is the scripts page, not a beginner step.

A clean first-hour checklist

  1. Claim pad, confirm Settings / Shop / Rebirth on the left.
  2. Redeem codes.
  3. Buy first extra dropper and any Golden Upgrader under $50.
  4. Empty the collector twice so you trust the ATM.
  5. Expand at least four plates in a rectangle, not a snake.
  6. Unlock dock, spawn Jetski, run one race.
  7. Invite a friend for the 10% bonus.
  8. Stop. Read make money before the next large purchase.

That is a real start. The rest of the wiki exists so the second hour is not a random shop tour.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers players actually search for in Raft Tycoon.

Why is my cash not rising?

Either no dropper is owned, items are stuck, or you have not walked the cash collector. Touch the ATM before you buy more buttons.

Should I rebirth as soon as the button lights up?

Only after the first raft is actually finished. The rebirth guide covers the +50% multiplier and what Robux items you keep.

Is the game playable without Robux?

Yes. Codes, droppers, cash boats, and the friend bonus are the free path. Passes only compress time.

What does the Sunny / Tsunami banner mean?

Sunny is safe. Tsunami means climb. Full weather list is on the sharks and weather guide.
