How to Rebirth in Raft Tycoon

Rebirth is the long-term skill tree in Raft Tycoon. The left HUD shows the button from the first minute so new players mash it and panic. It stays locked until the tycoon is actually complete. When it unlocks, pressing it deletes your plates and cash, keeps Robux purchases, and attaches a permanent income multiplier — about +50% after the first finished raft, with later rebirths stacking more speed. This page is when to press it and what you keep. The income loop you will rerun is in make money.

What you lose

• All cash on the HUD and in the collector.
• Every cash-bought plate, dropper, upgrader, mansion floor, and dock.
• Your place on the ocean returns to the starter wooden pad.

Rebirth button, multipliers, and the next-run start

What you keep

• Gamepasses: Double Cash, Auto Collect, Auto Build, Run Boost, Jump Boost, Starter Pack, vehicle passes such as Golden Yacht, Titanic, Race Boat, Kayak, Submarine, Aircraft Carrier, AH-64, Sleigh. Full list: gamepasses.
• Robux droppers / swords bought with Robux (Golden Sword, paid Golden Upgrader pads).
• The rebirth multiplier itself. That is the point.

If you paid for Auto Build, the second run is mostly watching buttons flip while you race. If you paid for nothing, the second run is still faster because you skip the “what does this pad do” hour and because +50% hits every collector tick.

When the button is worth it

Press rebirth when all of these are true:

1. The first raft’s main buttons are bought — you are not three droppers short of a complete loop.
2. You have unlocked dock + at least one extra conveyor, so you know the route you will rebuild.
3. You have survived a Tsunami once, which means you know why height matters on the next plates. See weather.
4. You are willing to spend the next session rebuilding instead of decorating.

Do not press it because a YouTube title said “rebirth fast” while you still have Dropper 3 unbought. A half-finished raft converts into a slightly faster tutorial, not a tycoon.

Some recaps mention percentage readouts on the pad (for example a 33% note in a short video). Treat the HUD as truth. If the button is still locked, you are not done. If it is live and you meet the four checks above, press it.

First run versus second run

First run is tuition. Redeem codes, learn Golden Upgrader order, place a rectangle of plates, build the dock, feel a shark. Buy almost no Robux unless Double Cash is on a sale you already wanted.

Second run spends the multiplier on the same order: cheap value pads, droppers, new belt, dock. Races start earlier because you already know the track. Friend bonus still stacks — invite the same people. The boat tier list matters more on run two because you reach Motor Boat prices before you get bored.

Later rebirths compress the same curve. Stop rebirthing for a while if you want to sit in a finished mansion and run Ice Breaker laps. That is a valid end state. The button is not a daily quest.

Multiplier stacking

Rebirth % × Double Cash × Winter × friend 10% is how screenshots go stupid. Winter is still ten minutes. Friends still have to be in the server. Double Cash is a pass. Rebirth is the only one that you earn with playtime. Do not skip friends because you rebirthed; they still add 10% each on the 10-player cap.

Auto Build plus rebirth is the “I will not touch dropper buttons again” combo. Auto Collect plus rebirth is the “I will only race” combo. Neither is required. The tools page has a simple planner table if you want a paper checklist before you click.

After you click

You respawn on the tiny pad. Immediately:

1. Confirm passes still show in Shop as owned.
2. Rebuild the first belt: Golden Upgrader then Dropper 2.
3. Expand rectangle, not snake.
4. Dock when it appears, spawn Jetski, one lap while the collector fills.
5. Do not portal-tour for 20 minutes. The multiplier is ticking on your belt, not on a stranger’s Titanic.

If the button was an accident, you cannot undo it. Play the second run; it is shorter than the first. For layout ideas without wasting the multiplier hour, skim expand raft before you claim the next plates.
