Raft Tycoon How to Expand Your Raft
Buy floor first, belts second, dock third, furniture last. Height is a tsunami tool, not a flex.
Every stalled Raft Tycoon account looks the same from above: a snaking pier of decorative plates, one starving conveyor, and a hot tub on the shark rim. Expansion is not “more wood.” It is unlocking the next income machine and a floor high enough to beat a Tsunami. This page is the build order. Income numbers live in make money. Survival height lives in sharks and weather.
Plates before props
The first cash after codes should buy Expand Raft buttons, not lamps. Aim for a compact rectangle or square. Reasons:
- Shorter walk from dropper to collector.
- Shorter sprint when the Tsunami banner hits.
- Less rim, which means fewer accidental swims.
- Room to drop a second conveyor without trapping yourself.
A free bridge plate appears in some starter layouts. Take it. Then stop stretching toward neighbours. You are not building a highway.
Unlock order that actually prints cash
- Four to six extra plates so buttons have somewhere to stand.
- Starter belt fully socketed with cheap Golden Upgraders + Dropper 2/3.
- Next area conveyor as soon as the button exists. New belts drop better junk. This is the biggest spike in the game and the reason how to play tells you to stop stacking the first hose forever.
- Boat Dock. Free Jetski, races for downtime. Boat races.
- Mansion / high floor. Tsunami stand. Also the deck where Daily Rewards, Like Chest, and Starter Pack sparkles sit.
- Helipad. Late height and flex. Skip it if a second belt is still locked.
- Decor. Hot tubs, gym, railings, neon. After you can rebirth without feeling poor.
If a YouTube mega-raft shows slides and ferris wheels, that is an end-state screenshot. Copy the belt layout, not the carnival.
Layout habits from finished rafts
Use the spawn portal for five minutes and steal structure, not furniture:
- Upgraders at the start of each belt, droppers behind.
- Collector inboard, not on a diving board.
- Stairs to a central high floor, not a ladder on the far corner.
- Dock on one side so race spawns do not block the belt path.
- Ad droppers and chests on the mansion deck where you already walk after login.
Then portal home. Visiting does not pay. Details in how to play.
Height is a mechanic
A one-storey raft dies to Tsunami. You do not need a skyscraper. You need one floor you can reach in a sprint from every belt. Mansion stairs beat a decorative tower on the wrong side of the dock. Helipad is extra height plus a screenshot. Build it after the mansion exists so you are not climbing a isolated post while the wave hits the collector.
Railings are cheap insurance on mobile. Buy a set after Dropper 3. They are not a roof.
What expansion is not
- Not a museum for every Robux boat at once. Spawn what you race. Parked Income stats are tiny.
- Not a reason to skip rebirth. A pretty first raft that never resets is slower than an ugly second raft with +50%.
- Not Auto Build’s excuse to buy every button in map order. If Auto Build is about to purchase a cosmetic before a conveyor, turn it off. Pass notes: gamepasses.
Session checklist
- Empty collector.
- If a plate button is cheaper than the next vanity, buy the plate.
- If a new conveyor is visible, save for it instead of a Bowrider.
- Place one vertical step you can climb in a Tsunami drill.
- Dock if missing; one Jetski lap; back to belts.
- Stop when the next purchase is a statue.
Do that until the rebirth button lights. Then take the screenshot, press rebirth, and expand faster with the multiplier. That is how you expand a Raft Tycoon raft without turning it into a pier.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers players actually search for in Raft Tycoon.
What should I build first in Raft Tycoon?
Plates, then droppers and Golden Upgraders, then the next conveyor, then the boat dock. Furniture is last.
Why do I need a mansion?
Height. Tsunamis punish flat rafts. The mansion is a climb target and a deck for daily chests.
Is the helipad required?
No. It is late height and flex. Buy another conveyor first.
Should I copy mega-raft YouTube builds?
Copy belt and collector placement. Ignore carnival props until after your first rebirth.
